Postpartum Services

In a culture where families are spread apart geographically, support during the postpartum period can be hard to find. The birth of a baby can bring joy, amazement, and happiness. This time can also be overwhelming and difficult if families are not getting the support they need. A postpartum doula can help you to have a positive postpartum eperience and can help you to enjoy your baby during the most crucial time as a parent!

As a postpartum doula I provide the following services.......

• Free Consultation - A meeting to discuss your needs and to answer your questions.

• Emotional Support/Informatinal Support - As your doula I will listen to your thoughts, fears, and concerns surrounding the postpartum as well as your birth experience.

• Newborn Care - I take care of baby while you shower, eat, or sleep. I will also teach you to care for your baby (bathing, swaddling, sling wearing)

• Running Errands- I am happy to take you to the store or shop for you.

• Light House Keeping - During the postpartum moms should not have to worry about house work. I will help you to keep the important things in order so you can enjoy your baby.

• Outtings with Baby and Appointments - I am happy to accompany you and baby on outtings to the park or a cafe, as well as to the doctors office.

• Meal Preparation - I will prepare meals and snacks for you.

• Internet and Community Resources - As a doula I have access to several resources regarding postpartum issues and topics. I am also happy to refer you to other wellness professionals.
