Catherine Gaertig CD (DONA)

Having come from a very large family where babies were almost always being born, she became fascinated with pregnancy and childbirth. “Whenever a sister or a loved one was in labor, I always wanted to go and be with them.” Catherine always loved to listen to her aunt and mother’s stories of giving birth to their children, as well as their stories of supporting their daughters through childbirth. After her daughter was born, Catherine decided to leave her profession in museum administration to start a new path as a Doula. She is honored to support expectant families on this unique and exciting journey childrearing.
